Does God Condemn People for the Lack of a Gospel Witness? Romans 2:19

Now we know that what things soever the law saith,

It saith to them who are under the law:

That every mouth may be stopped,

And all the world may become guilty before God.

Romans 2:19

Some people have never heard about Jesus. Does God condemn them to hell because they did not hear the Gospel?

This seems like a reasonable question. But it is not a fair question because it has mistakes in it. Tonight we’ll look at the book of Romans, and it will expose the mistakes.

  1. All have sinned.
  2. All have revelation.
  3. All need salvation.

Does God condemn people to hell because they did not hear the Gospel? No–God condemns people because of their sin: All the world is guilty before God (Romans 2:19).

It’s kind of like smoking in bed: If I start a fire, it’s my fault.

There is neither Jew nor Greek,

There is neither bond [slave] nor free,

There is neither male nor female:

For ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Galatians 3:28, KJV

Ya no hay judío ni griego;

No hay esclavo ni libre;

No hay varón ni mujer;

Porque todos vosotros

Sois uno en Cristo Jesús.
